Sunday Mornings • 8:15 am and 11:00 am
Sunday Evening • 6:30 pm (a variety of services)
* please note that there are no evening services during the summer months.
Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday morning and the 3rd Sunday evening of each month.
A “crying room” is available in the rear of the Sanctuary for nursingmothers and those with very young children who prefer to remain in theworship service
Both the morning and evening messages are taped and available for order
Sunday School for all ages ay 9:30 am
Nursery care is provided starting at 9:30 am
The Proclamation Worship Hour can be heard Sundays at noon on WFIL-560AM.
What Happens On Sunday
Worship services are held at 8:15and 11:00 am and at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary.
Our morning services followthe traditional Presbyterian order of worship.
This includes:
prayers ofconfession and intercession
declaration of faith
traditional hymnody
public reading of Scripture
recitation of the Lord’s Prayer
expository preaching of the Bible
periodic celebration of baptism
monthly celebration of the Lord’s Supper, or Holy Communion.
A shortmessage directed at younger children during the main service isfollowed by Junior Church for age 3 through second grade downstairs.Older children remain with their families in the service.
A Japanese Worship Service is held at 11:00 am in Room 243.
Evening Services vary from week to week with 1st Sunday of the Month reserved for a more contemporary Praise and Worship Service. The rest of the Sunday evenings could be a special event, concert, hymn-sing or communion service. Special emphasis during all services is placed on the teaching of God’s Word, the Bible.
Christianeducation for children, students and adults of all ages begins at9:30 am
Fellowshipfollows the Sunday school hour at 10:30 am, giving everyone a chance togreet one another informally over coffee and tea in the fellowship hall.
ThirdSunday Lunch is our monthly congregational meal. It is attended bynewcomers, members, visitors and regular attenders alike. Lunch isserved on the third Sunday of every month (except summer months) at 12:30 pm in the fellowshiphall. There is no charge and all are welcome.
