How do I get to Proclamation?

Visit our location page.

What is Proclamation’s wedding policy?

The use of Proclamation Church’s building facilities for weddings is open to church members and their children. The rationale behind this policy is that the pastoral staff and elders want to have a shepherding and mentoring relationship with the engaged and newly married couples. Members in need of information on fees, scheduling, and detailed wedding policies should contact the church office.

What is Proclamation’s baptism policy?

At Proclamation adults who have never been baptized with water in the name of the Triune God and who have made a public profession in the saving work of Jesus Christ, and children of members of our church may be baptized. Our mode of baptism is sprinkling. For more information on Baptism and additional details about Baptism at Proclamation you can order a copy of Dr. Lillback’s booklet: The Sacrament of Baptism.

How do I become a member of your Proclamation Presbyterian Church?

The first step in becoming a member of Proclamation is to attend the New Members Class, which is offered in the spring and fall of each year. If you wish to become a member after having completed the class, you must meet with representatives of the session to share your Christian testimony. After joining Proclamation, a new member is publicly recognized during a morning service, invited to a reception, and matched with a “Shepherd.” You are then encouraged to serve the church with your gifts and talents, as well as to join a Small Group Fellowship.

What is Proclamation’s policy with regard to children taking communion?

We are delighted when our covenant children are interested in taking Communion. In order to assure that they are spiritually ready to do so, the Session has established a committee of three Elders to interview the children. We encourage you to contact Dave Moneymaker (ext. 226) to schedule an interview. We respectfully request that children who are not yet members of Proclamation Church and who have not taken the Communicants’ Class (offered each spring as part of the 5th and 6th grade Sunday School curriculum) refrain from taking Communion until they have been interviewed or have completed the Communicants’ Class.

Do you provide pastoral counseling?

Each day there is a “Pastor on Call” who is available for pastoral emergencies such as: hospitalization, death, family issues, unemployment, etc. You may call the church office and ask for the pastor on call. If your need arises after office hours please call 215-577-0914. You may leave a message and the pastor on call will get back to you.

What is the PCA – Presbyterian Church of America?

What is your worship style?

We believe that the music used in worship at Proclamation Presbyterian Church should lead God's people to experience fully the glory and majesty of God. Further, the music should reflect an appropriate approach and attitude to the Lord and King of the universe.  We therefore believe that our musical offerings should be presented with excellence to the best of our ability, should be God-centered, Scripturally based, and reformed in textual content.  We recognize that the church of Christ can learn and benefit from the music of our Christian heritage as well as from our current time, reflecting how God has been and will be worshipped by people from every nation, language, and tribe throughout the ages.  Therefore, our music, whether used for preparation to worship or in the worship service itself, will be selected from many different time periods and genres, with a desire to choose the very best to glorify God and the most appropriate for the particular function it serves in our worship (e.g. adoration, confession, praise, etc.).  Since there are many preconceived ideas regarding the terms "traditional" and "contemporary," we choose not to use these terms and the limits that they may impose to label the music used at Proclamation Presbyterian Church.  Rather, we will enjoy the beauty and variety in music that God has inspired throughout time as part of our joyful sacrifice of praise.

Do you have any contemporary services?

Normally, on the 1st Sunday of month at 6:30pm there is a more contemporary praise and worship service.
